As I worked through this, I discovered that when kids make the rainbow as I've described in the packet, they can learn to order the pieces from smallest to largest. That was an awesome bonus to the craft activity!
Here is the description for the packet:
This is an literacy/activity pack for the thematic unit
of Spring. This
pack meant for the more linguistically challenged students and is perfect for
speech/OT or speech/special ed collaboration. This is nice for
integrating literacy and hand-on activities. You are purchasing two interactive
books and a craftivity with an assortment
of visual supports for all. Most clipart
by Smarty Symbols copyright 2016.
Enclosed:
•“Flowers
Everywhere” Interactive book with icons and sentence
frame. Special emphasis on prepositions (3-18)
•‘Verbs
of Spring’ interactive book with
simple text and real photos. Icons page at the end for matching (page 19-32)
